I’m renovating my blog.
It used to be all about viral marketing and
internet marketing platforms but I wasn’t too passionate about the viral stuff, so I’m reworking the focus.
In addition, some spammers decided my blog would be great for promoting their stuff so instead of trying to backup and upgrade etc., I decided to start from scratch.
So I’m “rebooting” by blog as I explore just what my passion is. I’ll get into more details in the next post but wanted to get this out there, as it also forces me to get through this process.
This way it’s also a good experiment at how someone who’s found their passion can start from scratch and grow their business by integrating a blog into their web of online media channels.
So just what is my passion?
I’m not entirely sure - it’s very cloudy at the moment.
I do know that I like lots of things, but what would I almost do for free? Hmmm.
One thing I’m passionate about is taking pictures and cooking. I took this pic while cooking
Will this be a blog about cooking? Pictures? Probably not, but I’ll have pictures posted regularly.
I’ve always been interested in uncovering the truth about things, analyzing stuff to death, being honest with people (too honest?), trying to figure out how exactly stuff online works and makes money.
Nothing’s set in stone yet.
I’m thinking of doing something tied to giving honest, and often brutal, reviews of products related to internet marketing, ecommerce, affiliate marketing… from the angle of product marketing. i.e. not just what the product does for you, but how it was developed and is now being marketed and how you can consume it.
How does that sound?
I’m still fleshing out a mind map on how it’s all going to look, and this blog needs serious pimping, but first things first - figure out the passion.
On that note, I’m patiently waiting for a book on passion by Gary Zelesky, who I met as a result of Alejandro Reyes’ @successfool encouragement. Rock on Jandro!
I’ve also received some encouragement from Matt Naskrent, who’s in one of the mastermind groups I’ve joined.
If you know me, why not post and tell me what you think my passion is?
If you don’t know me, tell me your passion and how you’ve integrated into your online presence.
Talk to you soon!
-Peter
